Stunning Thai Festival a 2-day event held in Platt Fields Park in Aug. Great atmosphere with lots of traditional Thai food & drinks booths. Shows and performances were available. There were stalls selling Thailand gadget, accessories and cloths. Recommended for a taste of Thailand in the UK.

Beers in the garden festival was excellent. Decent prices, excellent quality of ales. Only one bar so some advertised breweries not available for all sessions until kegs finished. Lovely outdoor environment. Nice selection of food. Thoroughly recommend.

Parking around Platt Fields Park is generally free roadside parking, and depending on the time of day, finding a spot is usually quite manageable around the nearby residential streets. The park itself has a really family-friendly atmosphere. There’s a large children’s playground, open green spaces, walking paths, small lakes, sports areas, and plenty of spots just to sit and relax. On sunny days especially, the whole place feels alive with families, students, runners, and people enjoying the outdoors. What makes Platt Fields special is the balance between nature and city life, even though it is inside Manchester, it still gives a peaceful escape from the busy environment. Perfect place for a casual walk, picnic, family time, or simply enjoying some fresh air and greenery.

Platt Fields Park in Fallowfield is a lovely green escape in Manchester 🌳✨. It’s great for a relaxed walk, a picnic by the lake, or just taking a break from the busy student areas nearby. The boating lake, open fields, and peaceful paths make it feel spacious and welcoming 🚶‍♀️🦆. It can get lively on sunny days, but that’s part of the charm. A nice spot to unwind, meet friends, or enjoy some fresh air 🌞🍃.

Very disappointed with Platfields park.I used to live nearby about 10 years ago. Than yesterday I enjoyed. When I entered the park noticed everything dry,no flowers,not sure if it's because of work going on in the park,but machines, truck or what ever shouldn't go through the grass,there is plenty of road for trucks etc,the grass was damaged. The only thing I really enjoyed,was the lake,full of birds,with different species of ducks, another positive thing was a football tournament going on,with lots of youth teams and nice to see parents watching the kids. The park is ok for run, exercise,but not much, needed colour, flowers,not even much daffodils. Needed to stop with machines on grass.
