Unfortunately, Playworld seems to be suffering from poor management and a lack of investment in the facility. Over the years I’ve noticed repeated issues that appear to require management intervention far too often, yet very little seems to improve. The play gym itself looks extremely tired and worn down. There was visible dust in many areas, sticky surfaces, and equipment that appears not to have been properly updated or maintained for well over a decade. The younger children’s area was also disappointing, with toys looking neglected and poorly maintained. The skating equipment was in particularly poor condition. Several pairs of skates appeared heavily worn, with tape holding parts together, missing or damaged insoles, and uncomfortable fittings that made them difficult to use. There were also signs that the building could do with attention, including visible water marks on the ceiling that suggested previous or ongoing leaks. Overall, the venue feels dated and in need of refurbishment. During a party visit, I observed staff struggling to communicate with parents while clearly looking exhausted and under pressure. I want to be clear that I do not blame the staff. They were doing their best in difficult circumstances. My concern is with management, who need to do more to support their employees, ensure adequate breaks, and provide the resources needed to maintain standards. The food and drinks are also significantly overpriced for the quality and portion sizes offered. I ordered a milkshake and even overheard staff expressing frustration about having to make them, which again suggested a workplace under strain rather than an issue with the staff themselves. Overall, there are some good people working here, but the venue feels neglected and poorly managed. With better investment in maintenance, equipment, staff welfare, and customer experience, Playworld could be much better than it currently is.

Skate and soft play really good. Attended a party and paid for younger sister to go into soft play, before the party had finished we were then asked to leave as a decision had been made to close early not advised this when we called or when we paid her entrance. Advised that it was on social media and subsquently changed on google but it wasnt on the website or advertised before or during paying admission. Went to pay for drinks to be told a £10 note couldn't be taken because of a small tear? Leading to team member needing to contact manager twice and send a picture before they would take not a great first impression.

Had my sons 2nd birthday party today, the venue was great and the staff were lovely, Nikio was our party host and he was amazing, very polite, interactive with my little one and was great at hosting our party, he was very helpful. With carryimg presents to the party room and checking to see if we was happy or needed anything. I would of liked the kids to be able to play a little after the food as would of had to pay normal admissions fees if we wanted to go play after. The food was lovely with plenty to go around and overall my son had a great time. Thankyou.

We’ve been visiting this play gym for a while but today will be our last. I was absolutely appalled by the state of the place today and shocked by what I saw. My three-year-old son had mentioned a wire from the roof so I went to check. What a shock to find a live wire dropped down where children play! Even if it’s not live it’s still incredibly unsafe. The staff knew about it but continued to let children play there. We left and won’t be returning. Zero excuses.

Came in today, when we arrived the receptionist was on the phone but made us her priority straight away. She was very warm and made us feel very welcomed. Helped us out with skate. When ordering food the blonde girl who handed it to us went and got sauces as we had forgotten them. Overall, 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back again!
