A lovely, well-maintained park. We visited on a Saturday morning and arrived while the Parkrun was taking place, which created a great atmosphere with lots of runners, families, and dog walkers enjoying the space. Everything was very clean, tidy, and clearly well cared for. We only used the playground area, but it was in excellent condition and a pleasure to visit. We'd happily return and would recommend Pontypool Park to anyone visiting the area. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful park with lots to do. Plenty of lovely scenery in and around the park. There is an active living centre (including a cafe, swimming pool and lots more!), rugby pitch, a ski slope Italian Gardens, even The Grotto and far more! The park is also adjacent to the Folly Tower, so it can be accessed via a walk from the park. What more could you want from a lovely park?

Yesterday, my family and I visited Pontypool Park. It was the perfect place to spend the afternoon. We started with a long walk up toward the Folly Tower, where the view was incredible. Afterward, we let the kids play at the playground while we sat on a bench and enjoyed the sunshine. It was exactly the break we needed.

Nice garden, dog friendly and free parking.

This expansive park has lots to see, making it a great place to spend an afternoon with kids. We took a walk through the park and into the countryside, which the park backs on to. We particularly liked the little clock tower, the orchard, the cherry blossom avenue, the mini maze, and the multiple ponds. Some things in the park did look a little worse for wear, such as the maze, which had multiple holes in the hedges, the first pond we came to, which looked rather stagnant and the toilets which were decidedly unpleasant. However overall the park is well maintained, and it looks like the playground is fairly new. We enjoyed watching ducks, fish, and tadpoles in the ponds near the dry ski slope. There were great views near the stone circle on one side and near the shell grotto on the other and were lots of woods to explore. It was also nice to see that there is a skate park, providing something to interest teens.
