Car park with plenty of space but could be quite easy to not notice the pay meter so be careful. Toilets are a bit gross but no more so than most other public toilets. The staff are so lovely, enthusiastic and welcoming. The caves are freezing (take a jumper!) but beautiful and they are currently trying out an immersive experience, which I just know the young dinosaur lovers will be excited about but in all honesty I just don’t know how they can charge so much for something that is for less than an hour….luckily thought there is a country park with view points in the same place (share the same car park) so you could eek out the day a bit with that. Lovely gift shop on site, we didn’t try the indoor coffee shop but I can confirm the tea from the outdoors vendor was lovely.

We had a fantastic experience on our visit today, we booked ahead of time on the website and our tour guide was excellent - extremely knowledgeable and very patient answering the hundreds of questions my children asked. All the staff on site were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely little visitors centre, cafe and lovely woodland walk with scultures to find. We also walked into Buxton and enjoyed the play park. £3 parking all day was very reasonable and plenty of space to park even in peak school summer holidays.

Great place to visit if you are in Buxton. I would recommend booking one of the guided tours, well worth the extra couple of £. They take 30 people at a time and on the day we went there was an AM and PM tour. We booked the day before online but if the guided tour isn't full you could book at the desk on the day .Tour took just over an hour. Alternative is to self guide and read the info at each stop. I think there might be a download able audio guide too. BIG TIP - No matter what the weather and temperature in the carpark, winter or summer it is ALWAYS 7 degrees C in the cave so unless you are an eskimo I recommend wearing or taking something warm to wear.

An absolute must-visit in Buxton! My husband and I recently visited Poole’s Cavern, and we were absolutely blown away. The cave is breathtakingly beautiful, with incredible limestone formations and unique stalactites that are beautifully illuminated. The guided tour was fantastic—very informative, engaging, and filled with cool historical facts (from Roman artifacts to tales of 15th-century highwaymen!). The paths inside are well-maintained and easy to walk on. The surrounding country park is also lovely for a walk afterward, and there is a nice café and visitor center on-site. Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting the Peak District! 🌲🦇✨

We booked in advance for the individual visit with an audio tour app downloaded. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, and issued clear information. Although the paths are easy to walk on, take care as obviously water is constantly dripping from the roofs. The audio tour using the app is easy and with clear speech ( I use hearing aides and had no problems). The rock formations are incredible and wonderous to see. Our visit lasted just over an hour and consider it well worth it
