Ride scooters in a dedicated outdoor park open to the public during school term mornings, afternoons, and throughout school holidays.

Poplar Community Scooter Park is a free outdoor facility dedicated to scooter riding, located at Poplar Primary School. The park welcomes the public during flexible hours that accommodate the school's schedule, making it an accessible venue for families with young children. During school term time, the scooter park opens early from the start of the day until 10am on weekdays, then reopens from 3pm onwards. Winter hours (October to April) see the afternoon closure brought forward to 4pm during school weeks. However, the park remains fully open during all school holidays and weekends, providing extended opportunities for families to enjoy scooter riding throughout the year. This facility is ideal for children learning to ride scooters or those looking to practice and improve their skills in a dedicated outdoor space. The venue's free entry and community-focused approach make it an excellent resource for local families seeking affordable physical activities and outdoor play opportunities.

This is just great. Such a lovely thing for the community. My children love coming down here with scooters and bikes. It’s a fantastic place for them to practice and be safe off the road. Plenty of benches around for parents to sit and watch. Compete with bus stop, roundabout and some play shops. The kids love it!

Lovely safe place for kids to ride bikes and scooters. We come here every week. Only drawback is no toilet facilities. But there is a shelter where you can sit if it rains.

Excellent cordoned off area for kids to scooter and bike. It’s got mock road markings and mock petrol and bus stations. You also have full view of your child throughout, so you could sit on a bench and watch them go round and round. The tarmac is smooth and no broken trails. I just wish there was a coffee stall/shop nearby to grab a takeaway coffee for us grown ups! I heartily recommend you take the kids with their scooter or bike for this simple park area.

Well looked after facility with two tracks where kids can ride their scooter or bicycle. It also has a small pretend petrol station to fill up on petrol, a small pretend shop counter and post office. There are benches to sit. We often come here and picnic while scooting about.
