The playground also features interactive water play with pumps, sprays, water wheels and dams, a generous sand pit area, a seesaw, and a musical chime floor play area. Wheelchair-accessible play equipment ensures families of all abilities can enjoy the space. Located at the junction of Wellington Street and Rockingham Street next to the Kangaroo Works building, Pound's Park is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle, car, or on foot. The park is free to enter and open from 8am to 5pm daily, with three main entrances from Carver Street, Rockingham Street, and Wellington Street. Great little park for eating lunch in the summer if you work in the city centre. A little bit bare in terms of greenery due to it being fairly new. But hopefully in a few years it'll fill out a bit. Nevertheless, offers a nice bit of greenery for city workers and a playpark for the kids.

My grandchildren love this park. Lots of things to climb on and explore. I visited last when the temperature was 22° We took towels and a change of clothes so they could enjoy the water areas. There's cafes locally and a little coffee/snacks van on site. Fabulous place.

Sooo much better than a disused fire station! Wonderful use of public space, using materials and landscaping to a high standard, aligning nicely with the charter row corner. Great to see so many kids enjoying it, too. I'd struggle to think of a better city centre park for this purpose in the UK!
