The staff were super helpful. Mum was in a wheelchair and they have a lift from the basement to the main floor. The upper rooms are not accessible for wheelchair users. But the audio descriptions were good. However the visit was really worthwhile because they had a wonderful tea (coffee) room. The food was delicious and we had a 'proper' sized tea pot for two. The gardens were also beautiful. We are thinking of popping back in just for tea. tomorrow. There is also dedicated disabled parking. The lift is on the small size so be warned if your a bit claustrophobic 😏 Also they had a good selection of gluten free and vegan cakes. I had the humus and roast veg focaccia roll 😋 Mum had the asparagus and goats cheese quiche which she also enjoyed 🙂

Lovely museum! The staff is very friendly. Information boards guide you through a day on the estate, while the free audio guide features voices from the past explaining the lives of the masters and servants (which is quite funny from today's perspective). The only critique is the tedious Wi-Fi sign-in needed for the audio guide, but the overall experience is absolutely worth 5 stars

What an absolute gem! Pity that many visitors to Brighton will sadly bypass this place. Excellent tour giving details of family life when in private hands. Rooms decorated to a high level of period detail.

Just Beautiful and a lovely day out. We spent quite a few hours there as went round it first looking and doing some of the fun, hands on activities. Then we had a coffee break in the onsite cafe which did delicious coffees and cakes in an actual room in the house. We then went back in to sit in some of the rooms with the free audio guide. Throughly enjoyed ourselves and were made welcome by all the staff. Wonderful place to step back in time too. A must visit and the gardens are beautiful too.

Very interesting house to visit - Victorian and Edwardian fittings and features. Well interpreted with lots of information including details on the staff behind the scenes. The house externally doesn't look much but inside it's a different story. Very pleasant and most helpful staff, they introduce you to the house on arrival.
