Well maintained and varied play area for young ones. However, with mainly two adults per child did find it a little too busy. Could have done with less attending to give the children more space to play and engage with each other. Did feel cakes were a little overpriced as well.

My little one (3year old) really enjoyed the café. We only stayed for an hour as I felt this was long enough for him. The iced coffee was delicious. The café was very clean and the air con was a very welcome treat in the heatwave!

An excellent trip as ever to Puffin Cove. My toddler loves all the role playing environments and the inevitable snacks. Great food and drink choices for adults too. We also really appreciated the air con!

Fab time as always and the little extra craft activity was really fun to do. Always great coffee and the banana and blueberry cake was very yummy. Your toddler is safe and can have fun exploring the different areas.

Dear Puffin Cove, I had your café on my radar for some time and was looking forward to visiting with my son. We finally had the opportunity to come on Saturday, 24 January, and we were genuinely excited, as there are very few cafés with a dedicated play area in Oxfordshire. Unfortunately, both my son and I were disappointed for several reasons, which I outline below. 1.Use of space Puffin Cove is not a large space, which is perfectly fine; however, the available space could be used more effectively. For example, in the area with the toy car, there is potential to add more car- or mechanic-related toys to make better use of that section. 2. Books and reading area The bookcase is very limited, containing only three books, all of which were quite old and noticeably damaged. A larger bookcase with a greater variety of books would be far more inviting. Books from charity shops are inexpensive and often in much better condition, making it easy to refresh this area. 3. Condition of toys I understand that toys naturally become worn with frequent use, especially in a children’s play area. However, this is why it is important to refresh and replace toys regularly. Most of the toys we saw were very worn, incomplete, or in poor condition, which made the play area feel tired rather than engaging. 4. Quantity and variety of toys For the size of the space, there were very few toys and limited variety. Adding puzzles, board games, or other age-appropriate activities could greatly enhance the experience for children. There is so many educational toys for example magnets, trains or car sets that would be great addition to the cafe. We booked a 90-minute play session but left after only 50 minutes because my four-year-old wanted to go home. This is very unusual for him; normally, I have to persuade him to leave play spaces. Unfortunately, I have to give only 2 stars and this is my highest number for my experience on Saturday, I did not feel I spend my £10 well. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively, as Puffin Cove has great potential and could become a wonderful place for families with a few improvements.
