Love a small local museum & this one doesn't disappoint... it's a 20/30 min visit but you get a fab insight to the village from prehistory up to Roman & beyond
Great little museum about the Roman history of Ribchester. Very informative and there's also a ruined bath house just a few minutes walk away. Bargain at only £4.
Friendly and welcoming. Interesting artifacts. The nearby Roman ruins are great to see too
Great little museum, defo worth the £4 entry, amazing insight into roman life 2000 years ago, staff very friendly
Despite its' small size, the museum is well worth a visit if you are interested in history / Roman Britain. Friendly, helpful staff are available should you have any questions, and the Roman finds in the museum are supplemented by actual (outdoor) remains of the Roman presence in Ribchester (the Roman Fort Granaries, plus a Roman Bath House nearby). The admission fee is a nominal £4.0 for Adults (March 2022), and there are toilets here - but no refreshments (- there are pubs with grub nearby).
