Staff where very lovely to interact with, there was a lot to see and do inside, I did go when it opened so I was the only one in there which made it easier to experience the entire exhibit quietly.

We really enjoyed this oddities museum. I think most kids and adults would like a visit here, especially on a rainy day! Mr Ripley definitely led an interesting life in search of the unusual.

This museum is small, but it contains enough unusual objects and interesting facts to fill a couple of hours (it took me about an hour and forty minutes to walk through). Adult admission was £13, card payment only. It's £10 for a child, and under-4's go free. The lady at the entrance was chatty, friendly and very helpful. You enter the museum across a rope bridge, and then walk through a series of themed galleries on two levels. Not easily accessible for people with disabilities, as there are a few dimly lit passages and a staircase to negotiate, and no lift. But there's certainly plenty to see: animal oddities, amazing artworks fashioned from everyday objects, models of the world's tallest man and smallest woman, artefacts of ancient indigenous cultures from all around the world, and much more besides. It's worth taking time to read the printed info that accompanies each exhibit, and there are also a few videos and interactive displays. I found it very interesting, though I imagine some of the things on display, such as the shrunken heads, might be too scary for younger children. The mirrors were great fun, and there were some interactive puzzles and slot machines to try (though the one I tried took my money but didn't work). The moving tunnel at the end was quite an experience! No café or toilets, but there is a shop where you can buy souvenirs and sweets.

Firstly, there is an accessible sign on Google but the venue isn't wheelchair accessible, there are stairs that's can't be avoided. Luckily I used a walker and can manage the stairs in my own fashion. The actual experience is amazing, there is so much to see and learn here! Many weird and wonderful facts to read. We spent atleast and hour and a half in here. It's not expensive to get in and there's a good gift shop at the end too.

Do not fall for the online discount code with golden moments / they do not work with this company and have never heard of it. I fell into the scam That being said, staff were lovely and let us in free of charge (well I paid £10 each for a scam ticket) Lots of cool stuff, definitely something for everybody, and there loads, 2 floors full! Very interactive as there is stuff to do / games to play throughout Definitely give it a go; some reviews say they’re in and out but if you appreciate it for what it is you need around an hour and a half in there
