We walked from the "bottom car park" and walked to the castle then to the pike. We walked at Easter so the pike tower was open with a talk explaining the history. There are gardens to walk round too. The views were great from the castle.

Fabulous views, fantastic wildlife and wonderful amenities at the barns. Great for an early morning walk with the dog and moody teenage daughters 🙄 Dog friendly too! 👍

Splendid walk. Many parts to explore like the Japanese garden, African style bridge, the pigeon tower etc. once you get to the top you are greeted by some of the best views. It's not incredibly high but immensely rewarding trust me on this one.
