It's such a gorgeous & tranquil park - the rose gardens and lake are such a great 'free' "attraction". Shame that council haven't been able to source funding for maintenance of the old model boat & kids boats areas, as well as the Roath Pride motor launch & wooden rowing boats.

Lovely day for a stroll around the park. Stopped at the cafe for a drink and cake for around £10 each. Pedalo boats were out in the sun. Went to the greenhouse to see the koi fish as well. Nice chilled morning with lots of flowers out.

What a stunning place to spend a few hours. Free parking around the lake which was scenic & serene. Great reasonably priced cafe with friendly staff. Beautiful rose garden with lots of seating. Didn't get to see everything so planning to return soon. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We went to Roath Park and really enjoyed the park, the lake, and all the birds in and around the water — they were fantastic. The playground was also very nice. Some people were fishing, and the clock tower in the middle of the lake looked lovely as well

I have been visiting Roath Park for many years, and more recently I have been coming here with my young child. I must say that my little one is absolutely fascinated by the ducks and swans. Watching the birds has become one of the highlights of our visits. The playground is also very well designed and offers plenty of opportunities for children to play safely. In addition, there is lots of open space, making it an excellent place for picnics and relaxing outdoors. Roath Park is a wonderful destination for a family walk, but it is equally enjoyable when visiting with friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing place to spend time outdoors. Another big advantage is that parking is generally not a problem, as there are usually plenty of spaces available around the park.
