Visited Rode Hall and Gardens on a bank Holiday Monday, when there was a plant Fair on. organisation was fairly good through out fron being directed to the car park, to the meeting point for a tour. The gardens were in full colour and were an absolute joy. The tour which was done by the owner , was informative even though it was only of the ground floor. There were some interesting stories in the lineage of.the owners. The cafe was great though the queue was long. Rode hall is part of Historic houses and offers free entry to members

Visited February 19th 2026 when Snowdrops were superb. Reasonable admission at £8 for adults and the friendly staff member at the ticket booth provided an invaluable map. Paths were well maintained but sensible footwear is always a good idea. Parts of the Old Woodland are populated by beautiful Wirecraft sculptures. There are several seats strategically placed as well as the Summerhouse. The tearoom provides delicious homemade food - highlights of which include an Almond, Lemon and Blueberry Cake and the Hot Rode Apple drink. A very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

What a lovely day out! We arrived for the Snowdrop Walk - there was plenty of space in the car park and we were handed a lovely map. It's a really pretty walk around the grounds, down to the lake. Given the amount of rain recently, their paths were really well maintained and covered in packet woodchip in places, making walking easy. The farmhouse courtyard has a lovely cafe with hot drinks (tea, coffee, decaf, hot chocolate etc) plenty of hot food options and a large selection of cake, much of which was gluten free. Really good value for money too!
