Unless you have an off road vehicle DO NOT attempt. As you turn off the road the entry track is unpaved and deeply rutted. We have a ford fiesta and only a hundred feet along the road I got out to assess the rest of the track. To proceed would've meant tearing the exhaust off the car or grounding it.

4/2/26: Went up on a cold, foggy day but was still a brilliant walk. Cracking round route to do which takes you up to the top then down and around back to the carpark. Route was around 2.5 miles, steep parts and part(quiet)road. Easy to find, Google maps directed me straight there. Just before the carpark you go down a dirt track to a gate, then cross over a ford before heading up to the carpark. The dirt track is bumpy but no different than the state of the roads, the ford is crossable with care.

Lovely short, steep walk with super views from the top. Car park has room for 6-7 cars if parked considerately, and you need to go through gate and over brook to reach it. Low cars may ground out. On leaving car park on the path, the first sign pointing left is the steep route up, or continue forwards and round to the left for the easier route. Well worth the climb.

Lovely find, good walk, does get steep and rugged at times. Fantastic views, recommend getting there early especially on hot days, as no cover/shade, wear good boots/shoes, take water n snacks as no cafe/facilities, carpark is small (reckon 8-10, depending on size of vehicles!) and as farmland with sheep, please keep dogs on leads/strict control and take any litter home!

A beautiful drive to the small free car park, there is a small ford crossing to enter but it’s not deep at all. From the car park walk up going through the gates, once in the opened out area bare left, follow the path and here you will be able to climb up to the summit. What a view from the top ! It is worth the walk up !
