Disappointed that two areas were closed. Would of been really nice to see the sikorsky in the conservatory area too. ME262 was amazing, my fave aircraft. Worth a visit but perhaps check before you go to see what is closed

Excellent museum with great exhibits and historical commentary either by visual stories, video or audio. Well arranged and the staff are on hand for any help or information. The amazing thing is it's ALL FREE! Including the hire of a mobility scooter 🛵 we took advantage of. I think a nominal £5 fee wouldn't be out of place but you can make a voluntary contribution. There is a visitor center with cafe and a play park outside for children. You can spend hours here if you're that way inclined. My only slight criticism is in the Cold War hangar there was so much crammed in it was sometimes difficult to make out and appreciate some of the aircraft in there. Still well worth 5 stars.

Must visit place , exciting for the whole family. Just imagine the stuff used even at World war just in front of us. Brilliant. Great kudos to staff and volunteers maintaining it so well . Plenty of parking space with a fee of £7 and have nice cafeteria .

RAF Museum Cosford is ideal if your looking for a great day out where not only is it FREE to enter but your kepted out of the inclement weather as most of the displays are inside various hangers. Would advise to book online make sure you add your parking which is £6,50 if you use the pay and display it is a £1 more there is loads of parking available and access to the museum is easy for able body and disabled body people. To the left of the entrance there is a cafe serving various hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches and lunches. Toilets are also located on site plus 3 or 4 gift shops. For a small fee you can also try out the VR spitfire flight which was awesome, there is a 4d Red Arrows flight which was also very good. So for All this to run there are lots of volunteers and staff at had full of information and super helpfull so a big thankyou to all the staff that made our visit so memorable you were all amazing. As you work your way around there are a few stations for donations. We donated £6 online which was mentioned when we entered to pick our tickets up. Every donation counts and helps keeping the lights on and your generosity is greatly recieved. So we spent nearly 3 hours here and saw so much and we had a great time. All in all its a brilliant Museum even with the parking fee and a donation its is really good value. We would hesitate to recommend and will definitely be returning to take a closer look at the planes that are outside.

My son and I love WW2 military history and we had a fabulous day out at RAF Cosford museum. The collection of aircraft from WW2 is very impressive as is the cold war hanger. Getting up close to a MK1 Spitfire and BF109 is brilliant. Being able to see see inside the full length of a Wellington bomber was great and being able to stand in the bomb bays of the Lincoln bomber was a highlight. Plus the Vulcan bomber is impressive as well. If you like military aircraft definitely make a point of visiting, plus the fact tickets a free makes this 5 stars day out👌🏻
