Small but well curated museum in the centre of Winchester. Much focus on the World Wars, understandably, and the regiment has an impressive record that stretches back to the late 17th century.
Really lovely museum, fantastivly helpful staff and such a wide variety of records to view ! 10/10
Great place. went there to find information on my Grandfather's Brother Frank Milam as did not know much on him . Inquired with one of the Brilliant and friendly staff to find out he was at Gallipoli with the 2nd Battalion survived and then sadly went to the somme was with the 14th Battalion and sadly died of wounds on the 14th August 1916. It is free to browse and donations are up to the individual. can Highly recommend
A fantastic regimental museum which concisely covers the history of the Royal Hampshire Regiment. Split over two packed rooms the exhibits and information is accessible and interesting without being overbearing. It’s also a free museum to visit. Well done to the Hampshires!
A very small museum telling and showing the history of the Royal Hampshire Regiment from its time as the Hampshire Militia, through the two World Wars up to amalgamation with the Queen's Regiment to become the PWRR. Very informative, and it's also free entry.
