The Ouse Washes are great. We went there while on holiday and am glad we did. Has everything you need - car park, toilets, visitor centre, and the bird watching stations are really good and well designed, with fabulous views of the surroundings. Recommended.

Talking about right place right time , a visit from a white tailed eagle , as far as the reserve itself excellent the hides where first class.

The disabled access trail was closed due to maintenance so it was very difficult on rough grass. The birds are best viewed with a telescope as they are quite a distance away. The staff were very helpful. The terrain was steep.

The only way to experience the Fens is to be there. Take time. As long as you can. The new RSPB hides are a stunning addition to this special part of the world, very reminisicent of those Mayan temples that overlooked a mysterious and ancient, long-forgotten civilisation. The Fens. They're that as well, part of a tale as old as time.

This was our 1st visit and we weren't disappointed. Excellent visitor centre with lots of birds to see on the feeders. It was our first time seeing a Redpoll and Reed Bunting. The hides looking over the Washes were lovely. A really pleasant visit.
