Beautiful place. Affordable parking, £4 for the day!! Well worth it. Bird seed available at the wardens section for feeding the ducks (50p for a small bag). Short walk around a lake that's pathed with plenty to do elsewhere on the grounds. On site cafe that does lovely sausage and bacon cobs and good coffee. Toilets always clean. Family and dog friendly with designated areas for dogs off the lead and a dog agility course (take water as the water bowl there is always empty!) Areas marked with information. Good sized park for the kids with sand area, disabled access etc. ice cream hut and separate coffee van are near the kids park and compost toilets too. There's a small sound and sensory area, and a bug section at the side of the lake too. Table tennis tables in situe , guessing you bring your own bats and balls?! BMX biking area next to the park and a skate ramp set up too. All included in car park price. Off the beaten track there are things like a tyre maze, giant woodland statues and a wheelchair friendly maze. Small wooded area and a bridge that goes over the train line next to the Nottingham train museum that run steam trains. They are open Sundays I believe with free entry too! It's just next door. Picnic tables and chairs located throughout the site. Plenty of birds and the occasional squirrels so don't forget your nuts!!

Beautuful place for a walk and great for the kids. The only downside is how extremely busy this place gets. The play park becomes so busy and full that it is hard to supervise your children if you have more than one to watch. However, there are some lovely places to wander like across the train bridge and through the woodland where there is lots to look out for and explore. Car par gets full and you often need to park on surrounding roads. Some more facilities would also be good, but overall definetly worth a visit.

Lots of different spaces for people to enjoy, open spaces, shaded woodland sensory play area, play park, skate board park, lake with ducks and swans, coffee shops and ice cream van. Next to heritage railway so great for young train enthusiasts, especially on event days and summer weekends. Only negative was the car park was full on a lovely sunny day in easter holidays and people parking on yellow lines and grass verges on the approach road. Needs more parking spaces or alternatives in local businesses car parks.

This is a lovely country park very well kept always something going off great place for dogs to have a good run, there is some lovely little coffee stops scattered about or the main one near the carpark but there is no indoor seating but plenty of benches outside to rest.

Super Excellent park for all of family including dogs! They have as standard an Ice cream van, a street food van, 2 sets of loos, a visitor centre with many trail sheets all under £2 and a cafe selling hot & cold food & drink. Plus dog course, bmx track, skate park, mazes, adventure woodland trail and a massive play park for older children. Lots to see and do. The Lake is fully fenced off for safety but has a walk around it. The footpaths are clean and the whole park is very walkable. They also have a sensory woodland area with old wooden games.
