Great hide......good for viewing the vast variety of water fowl and other wild birds that thrive at this huge and grand resivoir...... Osprey are also to be seen at this location, The hides are very well positioned to observe most of, if not all of the aquatic wildlife....take a few hours and wonder down the winding pathways and listen to all the bird song.... So relaxing... .

Really helpful staff and volunteers at L&R Wildlife Trust. We saw the Osprey on a very wet and windy day. The volunteer in the hide near the Osprey was very knowledgeable and had interesting information for us.

Tranquil, relaxing, quiet place to walk and birdwatch. Lots of friendly nature loving people. Small visitor centre with toilets, food and drinks. Around £8-9 entry per person which covers the cost of parking too. Cute little gift shop as well. Loads of really well built and well maintained bird hides. Osprey nesting and plenty of other interesting birds to see! Bring binoculars

My partner and I visited today for a walk, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The weather was beautiful, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Rutland Water never fails to impress—it's always a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature/ scenery. It was nice to see a lot of sheep and lambs.

This is a fantastic place, too much to explore in 1 day so will have to return. We went to the bird watching centre and there are so many walks and hides it's amazing. The thing I wanted to know that I couldn't find anywhere prior to visiting was if binoculars could be hired as i had forgot mine and thankfully they do hire them out so that made my day. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit for nature lovers and twitchers experienced or not.
