Very friendly staff on arrival. We had an elderly relative with us and got a mobility scooter or a wheelchair was available for no charge. £10 OAP entrance fee, which covers you for the year. A lovely place to wonder round especially if the weather is kind. Dog friendly, even in the buildings. Parking is available at the next door pub for a £3 charge or free if you eat there. Well worth a visit.

We got married here and it was utterly perfect. When we looked around at the time of choosing a venue, Kirsty was so knowledgeable about the history of each building and told us all sorts of really interesting things. It was so enjoyable to listen to and learn about so much history from so many different time periods. The wedding day was perfect for the small and intimate ceremony that we wanted. It was so relaxed and each building is so beautiful. You have the option of decorating but the beauty and history of each building speaks for itself, as well as the wildlife. The staff went above and beyond to make our day run seamlessly, and Kirsty was always available to answer any questions, and nothing was too much trouble. We absolutely love it here and can't wait to come back and visit. Thank you so much for giving us a perfect day.

We had a great visit.The layout is good so you don't miss anything. Very relaxing to walk around, well presented and interesting. Great for adults and children. Hutton-le-hole is a lovely village to walk around afterwards, with nice tearooms. 3 hours parking in the nearby carpark on Moor Lane was perfect amount of time for us.

Stunning! It's like Beamish in miniature. Reasonable admission charge which becomes ridiculously good value as your ticket is valid for a full year*and* you receive discount from local outlets. First visit despite living fairly locally. I shall definitely be coming back though throughout the next 12 months!
