Great museum. Really interactive for Children, our age group was 4- 40 and we all had a lovely time. We took part in the Cardboard Clues which was excellent, really funny for all ages. The lady on reception was really kind and look thrilled to see us all enjoying the museum. Well worth a visit.

We just did the murder mystery. I thought it was great fun. My two girls (12 & 14) and my wife all enjoyed it. I would highly recommend. We took 2 hours to do the 3 mysteries. Unfortunately, that left no time to explore the museum properly. But 100% worth the £25 for all of us to play. My daughter enjoyed completing the clues on the (required) app.

This is a fantastic museum with masses to see and child friendly with activities and searches for them to do. It covers some many areas local history, wildlife, ancient world and people. There's limited free parking for visitors and entry is on £2.50 for adults half price for pensioners. There are stains inside but there's stair lifts and a main lift so it's accessible to all. Don't miss going here, and the castle is next door.

We had such a lovely visit today. We were especially impressed with how child friendly the museum is - our 2 grandsons loved it. The complimentary back pack filled with different things to use & do while visiting was great. Thank you so much for making us so welcome - we look forward to visiting again very soon.

Cheap, small museum which is good for kids. Doesn't take too long to go round so they are less likely to get bored and they had little explorer rucksacks. There were quite a few kid height exhibits with signs saying dont touch though, and given that they are kid height that is quite a lot to ask of a small child. There is a mummy which is proportionate in size to the museum. There are some very creepy dolls. Dont look them in the eye.
