What a wonderful place to visit! The café at Salford Museum and Art Gallery is an absolute gem and deserves every bit of praise it receives. The staff are the true heart of this café. From the moment you arrive, they are warm, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cannot do enough for you. Their attention to customers is outstanding, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that makes everyone feel valued and appreciated. The café offers a fantastic selection of both hot and cold food, along with excellent drinks and refreshments. Everything is presented beautifully and there is something to suit all tastes. What makes the experience even more special is the unique setting. Surrounded by the museum's fascinating galleries and the remarkable Victorian Street, you are immersed in a wonderful piece of English history and heritage. It is a true celebration of England's past and a delight to explore. This is a perfect destination for children, young families, couples, and visitors of all ages. Whether you are visiting the museum, enjoying a family day out, or simply looking for a lovely place to relax with a coffee and a bite to eat, this café is well worth a visit. It was an amazing experience. I visited with my little girl, and we enjoyed having tea at the café. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the museum was spotless, with so many beautiful and fascinating showrooms to explore. It’s truly an amazing place. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into making it such a wonderful experience.

Small museum but really nice. They also have a café downstairs and the small museum shop had some really cute stuffs. The artworks were impressive — Famine being my favourite. It was definitely worth a visit!

Great Victorian street (Lark Hill place), with original shop fronts and objects from those shops which were recovered and displayed in the museum, sounds and atmosphere to replicate the dark Victorian period in England (the staff provide a lantern to see better the objects). The house of dolls in the upper floor and some of the paintings in one of the upper gallery are also highlights of my visit. Two of the galleries were closed for set up of new exhibitions but overall very good!

Wonderful experience to visit for victoriana really great way to spend a few hours. Although the modern artists they highlight leave alot to be desired, not a patch on the original earlier art on display. Very laughable really when you put both side to side. The modern section is a great waste of space and not needed in a place where people come to emerce themselves in the history and victoriana, could definitely do with rethinking the modern artist selection of cardboard box and repetitive unskilled pictures of a club foot Other than that a great place, the library is very interesting, the victorian Street and the amazing classical art on display. Coffee and tea available in a big bright cafe overlooking peel Park. Definitely recommend a visit here
