The Cathedral is beautiful. We only did the main tour, but there were tours to the tower and the stonemasons and library which I will do at another visit. Before going, enquire about the time of the visits. the general ticket lasts for a full year. Some of the tours have extra costs. Plan with plenty of time!

Whether you're religious or not, this is a must do when visiting Salisbury. Constructed in the mid 13th century, this impressive cathedral is loaded with history and wonderful architecture. It is home to Brittan's oldest working mechanical clock and the best preserved original copy (of four) of the 1215 Magna Carta (foundational royal charter). We also enjoyed the free tour and lovely grounds. There is a cafe and toilets on site. Tickets are a little cheaper to buy online.

It is worthwhile to visit this magnificent cathedral. It is a masterpiece of architecture. It has the oldest clock in the world, which it is incredible A bonus, you can see the Carta Magna from 1215 !

Incredible to stand before the original Magna Carta — a document that helped lay the foundations for many of the rights and freedoms we often take for granted today. Over 800 years later, its influence can still be felt across much of the modern Western world. A remarkable piece of history, and a powerful reminder of the importance of justice, accountability, and liberty. 📜

Have been here a few times before and loved coming back again with my family of 4. Super impressive cathedral, lots of interesting things to look at. My 11 and 13 year olds were amazed at the impressive stained glass windows and sheer size of the building. It was a bit of a challenge finding parking close by. Was great to be able to see the Magna Carta, one of only four remaining originals in the world. Fantastic place to visit and will be sure to revisit when back in the UK. Awesome.
