I've been a member for around 8 months now and overall it's been a really positive experience. The gym is always clean, the staff are lovely, and a particular shout out has to go to Paul. He's always present, approachable, happy to chat and genuinely interested in helping members. He really adds to the community feeling of the gym and is a great asset to the team. There’s a good range of equipment available, from lifting platforms and machines to the track room downstairs, meaning it caters well for lots of different training styles. The pool and sauna facilities are also good. Timings can occasionally be difficult around children’s swimming classes, but that’s understandable for a community centre. It’s also clear the team are actively trying to improve the facilities, which is great to see. A few areas I think could improve: Signing-in system – The current machines are genuinely frustrating and probably the weakest part of the experience. A simple barcode/QR scanning system would be a huge improvement and bring it in line with most modern gyms. Dumbbell organisation – Adding weight labels/stickers to the racks would really help encourage members to return dumbbells to the correct place and keep the area tidy. Use of the downstairs gym for classes – It might be worth reviewing whether closing off the entire downstairs area for relatively small classes is the best use of space. It’s a unique training area and can feel underutilised when unavailable to general members. Member input on new equipment – Consulting members before purchasing new equipment could be really valuable. Some of the newer additions downstairs seem quite niche, and getting feedback beforehand may help ensure investment goes into equipment that will get regular use. Storage and safety downstairs – The track equipment storage could really benefit from improvement. At times the area feels cluttered and presents a potential trip hazard, particularly given the recent introduction of a no gym bag policy due to similar concerns. Spin bikes- many of the spin bikes fail to hold their seat position. They slide back even when in the lock position. This might be a big guy problem but still annoying

I believe the pool can have a lot of dead skin and small debris. Pool doesn't get a regular thourough clean on the walls I know this as a certain stain remained there for 3 monthsand the fencing is rusting due to lack of maintenance. Members changing rooms have a wired smell or it could be the other people that use it. I'm going to look for somewhere else to go instead of coming back next month.

Very rude member of staff that works in the cafe called Hayley. Always seems miserable and has been rude to myself and other colleagues when we visit weekly for the cycling sessions. A real shame as the rest of the staff are always really lovely!

The play area is brilliant and the cafe too. However, high up on the soft play areas, it is plain to see that it is extremely dusty. Could do with some cleaning, as not so hygienic, especially if there are people eating right underneath the large blue and yellow plastic oarts
