Superb place for a swim. Very well run, pool is heated to a good comfortable level, and the doggy swim in September is a joy. Changing rooms could do with a bit of servicing (benches missing from some cubicles, lockers missing wristbands and numbers). Adjoining restaurant is nice on a sunny day.

What an awesome place this is. Beautiful art deco building. Parking available which is free if you’re using the Lido. 40m (this makes it one of largest heated pools in the area indoor or outdoor) well heated pool (27°C) with various sessions for families, lane swimming etc. The lanes generally kept for laps are in the deep part (1.9m) which is great. Hot showers and changing rooms. Lovely staff. The attached restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit even if you have no intention of getting wet. They have various events through the year which I intend to attend.

Beautiful location! I visited for a bite to eat and a drink. The service was excellent and quick. I went for the Tiramisu french toast which was absolutely delicious!!

Just attended a fantastic watercolor workshop with Shelley Morrow at Saltdean Lido! She is running them once a month on the last Saturday of the month, and it was excellent for beginners and the more experienced alike. Update - have been to another one and we had delicious tea and an AMAZING choc brownie after in the Lido cafe - beautiful place, recommend. Actually I thought I wanted to make a finished image of something to frame but Shelley encouraged me to experiment and these pictures are three different watercolor painting techniques. I'm really pleased with them and we'll probably frame them anyway... Definitely going to come to some more workshops as it was a lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent teacher and materials, plus the absolutely gorgeous venue. The sun was out and the lido was just looking lovely We booked the tickets on Eventbrite, if you just search Shelley Morrow you should find it I will say really recommend the LIDO evening music sessions. We went to an amazing Halloween 80s night last year and danced for hours, brilliant, see pics here!

As this has been renovated and the weekend weather was excellent, we decided to go for a breakfast. On a Saturday we arrived at approx. 09:30 and got a table in the sun. Selected from a wide range and catered for all tastes including my daughter who is vegan. Although busy, we did not have to wait long for the breakfasts and drinks to arrive. The service was genuinely friendly and the lady was professional and polite even though she was seemingly on her own and busy. The breakfast was more than enough to eat and everyone was full, with some leaving food as they could not eat it. I must say that the environment and quality of food was top notch and the sunny morning made us feel as if we were on holiday abroad with the sun glinting off of the pool and the landscaped gardens looking good. I cannot fault our visit and look forward to visiting again when we stay with our daughter in Saltdean.
