A superb place to visit in any weather. We’ve been many times when the weather was good but today it poured down. No problem at all. The canopy from the trees gave lots of shelter from the rain. We still got a bit wet but not soaked. The huge woodland walks are divided into yellow and blue trails. One is approx 2.5 miles the other is 3.5 miles ? But you can vary this to suit yourself by wandering through the endless trails through the woods. Go off the beaten path and tarmac and make your own way around. The car park is pay upon exit. Don’t forget to pay before you get into your car or you will cause a queue at the exit. The cafe is always busy and offers tea, coffee and sandwiches. The souvenir shop is first class. Well laid out but a bit pricey if you are a Lidl type of customer. It’s good quality gifts and food products are first class. Like a miniature luxury shop.

Beautiful place. Plenty of space to have a walk and relax. Beautiful gardens with freshly new plants which in few years will create beautiful flowery arrangements. I do not recommend going inside. There is only couple of rooms to see in this massive house. Everything else is closed. You can't take any photos inside the house. There is parking with machines where you can pay. Toilets available everywhere. Lovely cafe please. Avoid going during some events. There is not many bins around. Keep your rubbish with you.

We were very impressed by the size, design and variety of planting in the gardens. Our walk passed lovely water features, some fabulous trees and shrubs and lots of newly developed areas. The palace itself is a very impressive building but we didn't go inside.

Scorching hot day but what a wonderful place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and the house is magnificent. We heard great information from the guides who were all very knowledgeable, polite, professional and friendly. It is apparent from the way that they explain things that they are passionate about the property and that the same passion is shown by HM The King in the care he is taking of the house, garden and parklands. We had a wonderful time and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Easy access, beautiful gardens, loved the Arboretum dedicated to Queen Elizabeth. Interesting house tour, just the lower level, sad not to have seen a few more rooms such as the nursery. The walled garden is closed to the public. We took 2 days and had a really good look round the garden, church and house.
