Just to be clear, Sandy Banks isn't named after a famous local, but because it has banks which are to all intents and purposes, sandy. Wasps love the place, and for good reason: swatting was banned here in 1981, and punishable by hefty fines. A win for all Jasper fans out there, I'm sure you will agree.

This use to be my favourite place for the last six years. Beautiful and tranquil. Use to take my gran-daughter on Sandy Banks Nature Area. She loved it. Few months ago a lady was attacked by two men. Luckily she got away. No go area for me. Heartbroken

This is the area I walk my dog Grace twice a day. I also bring my grandson on a nature walk. No two days are the same. It's like a bit of the countryside on your doorstep. Nb it's blackberry picking time. Loads of them too.
