It's interesting mainly for kids and teenagers alike. It's located in the city close to the bus stop. (No 1 Bus Route, which is free bus). Some of those items on display are interesting, thought provoking, interactive. Must visit when you are in Manchester.

Hidden gem in Manchester, feels like a world-class museum. Walking through the industrial revolution history and watching the steam engines fire up live is cool. Great for kids and adults alike, could spend hours there. If you're in Manchester, go there.

I visited this on my visit to Manchester on a week day and was very glad to see the old equipment and their evolution. You don't have to book any tickets for entry, it's free. This tells us the story for how things were developed in the beginning and how it's advancing by today. Also, got to see the wheelchair and workspace of Stephen Hawkins. They keep playing some old railway station sound in the hall where the old railway system has been displayed. There was a staff who asked us few questions as a part of review on exit. I was glad with this that they were doing that to make the services more better.

This was my second time coming back here, and it was wonderful. Admission is free, and there was no need to queue. This museum is perfect for anyone who loves science, and it is suitable for all ages. I was especially impressed by the first floor, with its interactive space. Children, and even adults, will absolutely love it. My child could easily spend hours in the museum. There is nothing to complain about at all.

So glad the Power Hall has reopened. That's what we came to see on this visit. They've gone a good job of mixing historic engines and such with some modern interactives. It's a completely free (donations welcome) museum. Always enjoy it. There's a great on-site cafe (recommended the morning roll & hot drink deal). Plus a shop, toilets and other usual museum amenities.
