An excellent experience. A very knowledgeable guide and amazing exhibits. Just remember that you are visiting the museum's working warehouse and not a traditional museum.

Excellent 2 hour visit the guide Sarah was full of knowledge and very funny and made the tour. Some of the items in here remind me of my childhood and brought back some good memories. Worth booking a visit

A fabulous place, full of many items from variouus Science and transport museums. Large items include cars, buses, a double decker tram, carriges, Professor Picard's gondols and a piece from the B.T. Tower. Medium items include boat and plane models, including Bluebird, weaving machines, washing machines, bicycles, statues early computers and a dalek! This is a place full of very interesting 'stuff' which is stored here as not everything can fit into the museums. Our guide was so enthusiastic and helpful that I'll definitely go again. This is definitely a place for people who are happy without an interactive experience as you are not allowed to touch anything which helps preserve all the artefacts. I loved it!

100% recommended. Our family booked a tour early Sunday morning. Guided and detailed tour with Sarah and David. There is so much to look at, it's amazing. Looking forward ro the Hawkins additions and office display.

After many years of waiting (last visit 40 years ago) the centre is now open. The collection of 330,000 items, large medium and small are housed in the Hawking (Stephen) Building. You can only visit by guided tour. Bookings are now much more available; just go to the website. The collection is fascinating. The tour is guided and you are not allowed to stray too far from the guide. A kind volunteer will shepherd you back into the flock. If you are interested in anything the whole lot is catalogued online. You can book a research visit when the item will be curated for you (so long as it isn't a double decker tram). We took our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren and, at two hours, was a bit much for them. There is no "touchy feely" allowed and it really is teenager and above. The whole visit was a delight. The staff and volunteers are up for giving as much information they can. Please support this venue. They didn't have to go to this extent, but they did with pride and relish. Thank you.
