While Shakespeare's new house is long gone, the talk Marcus gave brought it to life so vividly. His enthusiasm and energy really made our day.

Worth seeing if you buy the combination ticket, but not otherwise. You will spend about 15-20 minutes here since you only get to walk around the garden (there is no exhibit or explanation of any kind). Ideally try to catch the free “tour,” a 12 minute explanation that will help put the site into perspective. The gardens are beautiful and it was lovely to stroll around, but I think they could improve the visit.

This place was wonderful! The welcome by staff was lovely. Lots to look at and creative pieces all around. Good weather was on my side today too which made it look and feel beautiful. I sat briefly for a moment taking in the place and imagining the house on this site, very peaceful. I hope to return in the next 12 months! Thank you for holding this space

While very different from Shakespeare’s birthplace (because there’s no building left), this is well worth a stop in for history fans. We got a wonderful and informative 20 minute lecture, saw excellent exhibits next door, and toured the lovely gardens.
