Airshows (Flying Days) at shuttleworth are superb. The gardens are lovely (at any time), always more going on than the flying (which is superb). Bring your own or buy food & drink from the festival style line up of eateries etc. I'm always fascinated by the number of enormous camera lenses (fans taking photos) - it's a huge showcase of the best ones. The house is great to look around - the Art & history is nice. Upstairs is a room showing medical gear for wartime ... there is a table laid out with teddies so kids can try bandaging them. Three very nice ladies were having a go when we were there. Check out the website to see what's on ... it's nice to visit any time ... but the events are spectacular.

Had an incredible day here for their Air show. What an historical moment watching the Messerschmidt and Hurricane flying side by side! Amazing! Facilities were great, even the port-a-loos were clean! I would like to visit again, on a non-ebent day as we didn't get to see all of it. But I highly recommend a visit.

This is the home of the Shuttleworth collection of historic aeroplanes and vehicles, many of which are unique. Ethos is to make these planes and vehicles work - and then keep them working. With the planes, vehicles, house, Swiss gardens, and the grounds, this takes some beating - it is world-class. Fantastic staff and volunteers, it is so devoted to its cause that it even gives apprenticeships. Utterly amazing place - truly a treasure.

We were there for an event, so perhaps more going on than usual. The museum is very interesting with many exhibits, all of which fly or drive. Each exhibit has a clear description, some with lots of details. You can also go into the workshop to see aircraft that are undergoing maintenance. The gardens aren't my thing, but apparently very interesting if that's your bag. The cafe is large and well staffed with quick service. One downside - the gents' toilets have been crammed into a tiny space, so be prepared to queue!

What a fantastic trip! We visited on the Home ed Day, there were volunteer enthusiasts and staff in each hangar who were more than willing to answer a thousand home ed children questions and talk us through the displays and activities they had. The kids were super engaged and loved their time there. Already asking when we can go back! To make a full day, theres the beautiful Swiss Gardens round the back 💚
