Great play area , quite large with a variety of play equipment. Big open space and various sports facilities such as a tennis court. Has a splash pool open throughout the summer which is lots of fun , my son always has great fun there and we stay for hours. There is a little hut for ice creams , snacks and drinks, staff always friendly and helpful. Would recommend

Very little shade in the heat of summer 🌞 when the grass all dies, but under the trees near the pavilion, it's nice and shady. There's free toilets which are fairly clean and maintained. Unfortunately the pavilion is currently closed, not sure why.

Have walked through this park numerous times on the way to work, children have played in the playground lots as well. Splash pool in the kids park is great for kids, especially on a hot day! Booked the tennis courts for the first time - really easy to book online, just bring tennis rackets and balls (mark your balls to avoid getting them mixed up with the serious amateurs and their 50 balls!)

Did you attend the Wellness Fair at Sir Joseph Hood today? If not, you certainly missed out on a lovely event. There were quite a few stalls and the live entertainment was fabulous. Lots of yoga, and dancing with JV Dance Fitness bringing the event alive with his fantastic dance moves. Great entertainment had by all. If you haven't been down to Sir Joseph Hood, it's a 2 hectare park, with a lovely play area with a kiddies pool and picnic area. There is also a small Putt Putt course (Mini Golf) and a soft play area. Dogs are welcome, so you don't have to leave your best friend at home.

Great outdoor space with many facilities on offer. My areas of interest are the tennis courts and jungle gym, however there is a nursery, children’s play area with pool and swings & basketball court. Check it out!
