This place is utterly charming, lovely animals, friendly staff, and a great way to spend a few hours. Well worth buying a bucket of feed, and they give you plenty, unlike other places. Cafe is nice, food was good, and I e of the best things about the whole place was that almost all of it was accessible in a mobility scooter so I got to see lots! One of the most wonderful things was the red squirrel sleeping in the sun, a creature I had never seen before. A lovely day and well worth a visit.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! I am zookeeper so was pleased to see all of the farm animals looking in good condition in decent sized enclosures and really enjoyed seeing the owl hatchery! I also really enjoyed that lots of animals had their names displayed. Would have been nice to see some staff around mostly to chat to about the animals but also to report issues to as we saw a group climbing into closed enclosures and feeding animals they shouldn’t. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back (to see Mr Long Legs, my favourite)

There was a good mix of different animals, with feed buckets for you to feed the sheep and goats. I went with my 1.5year old and my 5 year old who loved it. It was really engaging for my boys who even got to go into the goat and sheep pens to pet the animals without the fences in the way. Not only were there the mammals, they had a good selection of owls and other birds. There is also a small cafe on site which we had lunch at. The cafe was busy when we went and we had to queue to get served as it wasn't table service but there were plenty of seats and the food was good, even though there were only limited options for food such as sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatos. Would have benefited from a couple more vegetarian options too. Had I realised I might have taken a packed lunch instead. My husband didn't think much of his mocha but I really enjoyed my hot chocolate! We loved it though and would certainly recommend. We would definitely go again if we were in the area again. It gave us lots of lovely memories.

What a brilliant place, far exceeding my expectations. Lots of beautiful owls and a fantastic selection of animals. Kids would love it but I’m 66 and my daughter is 34 and we had a whale of a time. Very friendly staff. Even the cafe is great. Going again soon.

Went with the Mrs in late February, unfortunately it started raining, but they have done a great job and added a lot of areas under cover so still worth going if the weather is bad. Plenty to see, LOADS of different owls and separate areas for birds and small animals like degus and guinea pigs, friendly staff who clearly love their job. They have "play"(?) time when the baby animals come out and interact with visitors. We didn't use the cafe but there's a nice looking outside area and we'll be going back again in the summer.
