My significant other and I visited SMJ Falconry last month and it was an experience of a lifetime! We booked the Full Day Experience and could not recommend it more! The experience was one of the coolest things I have ever done and was one of the best days of our lives! Don't pass up an opportunity to do this. We were able to meet all of our favorite birds from social media. They were ALL wonderful and have the biggest personalities. The SMJ team were warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and you can tell how much they love these amazing birds. Thank you to Gill, Will, Steven, and Chris for making this day so special for us. We will try to come back for another visit in the future!

My wife had a afternoon session with the birds. Her session started with an informed introduction to some of the birds in the aviary, so good to have been given an insight to the birds character and their special bonds with the handlers. The session continued in the flying field, with close up, gloved hand on. Such a privilege to get up close 3 very special birds in the care of Stephen. Everyone we met were so so very considerate of the birds health. The trust they gained from the birds was plane to see.

Absolutely fantastic day with the team. Met all the Birds and then flew a great selection - all very different. Everyone made us feel very welcome - a very special day.

I bought a full day experience for my partner’s birthday and gifted myself a spectator ticket to tag along. The process was super easy and communication with the falconry team was brilliant. We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. Gill showed us the birds and shared all the knowledge she had about them. We were lucky to see the babies White-Faced Owls Meg and Star, who are adorable. Gill was friendly and passionate, we had the best time meeting all the birds. Then Steven took some birds out for my partner to handle, starting with the tiny but fierce Diego the American Kestrel, followed by Henry the Harris Hawk, then Mr. Chips the Asian Brown Wood Owl. Chris introduced us to Willow the Red Kite and Steven came back with Lootah the Red-Tailed Buzzard, before finishing the show with the best girl, Julianne the Hooded Vulture! We were so lucky to see all these beautiful birds flying around and see all their different personalities and behaviours. We can’t thank the team enough, especially Gill, Steven and Chris for sharing their love and passion with us. The day was fun, engaging and educational. Had the BEST time on our half day Owl Encounter yesterday. Gill and Will were both so friendly and knowledgeable and felt like they were so committed to making sure we got the best out of our experience. It was so fascinating to see so many different birds and actually being able to handle them up was so exciting, can't recommend enough!
