We walked here from Oldbury Court Park after following the River Frome. It's a lovely pretty walk along well maintained and accessible paths 😊

Great place to walk with your four legged friend. We had such a lovely day walking along the river bank and our golden retriever had her best day ever jumping in and out of the water as we made our way towards a well earned lunch at the green king pub before making an equally pleasant journey back to our parking spot at Snuff Mills. This isn't a review of the excellent pub by the way but it's still a massive highlight of our week away in Bristol and Yate area for me. Definitely going back here next time I am in the area, just a lovely relaxing day....

A lovely place for a walk, whether you're walking the dogs or going for a bike ride. There are some hidden trails if you can find them, which makes it feel like a real hidden gem. It's absolutely beautiful, and there's free parking after a certain time, which is a great bonus. We saw lots of people dipping their feet in the river, and plenty of dogs enjoying a swim. The water is surprisingly deep in some areas. A local lady told us that during the winter, the river becomes much deeper, so it's worth taking extra care.

This is very popular place for families and dog walkers. Snuff Mills flower garden is attractive in summer. The paths can be pretty muddy even in summer if there has been heavy rain beforehand. Seating is scattered at various places along the riverbank and trail. Information boards are dotted around and provide both interesting and useful information. As of June 2026 car parking costs: • £1 for one hour. • £2 for two hours. • £3 for five hours. Cash, card or App based payments can be made. Charges apply seven days a week. Parking is free between 1800 and 0900. The car park was well used on a Sunday afternoon but we manager to find vacant spot with no difficulties. Overall, I think this is a nice place to visit if you live locally.
