My 4 year old granddaughter has swimming lessons at Spennymoor leisure centre, there's lots of changing rooms, all different sizes, very clean, locker's for securing your valuables, staff great with the kids of all ages, and there's a life guard constantly walking around especially where the 4 year old group is. My granddaughter absolutely loves it, she loves her instructor, who is in the water with the younger group and she always ensure all the group are listening to her instructions, if not she always taps them on the head and says the instructions again, 4 year olds always get distracted and go into their own world, but the instructor is very patient with them. My granddaughter doesn't need floats anymore, she has no fear and thinks she's a dolphin

Great fun pool and water lovely and warm. Only 1 slide but does have a wave machine, clean tidy and friendly

Its pretty good, the swimming offers a slide and a wave pool. Big changing room with 20+ rooms. The pink gym is in there which is for gymnastics and you can also book partys there

My daughter goes here for gymnastics and we've been swimming a few times. We've also used the library. Lovely leisure centre

Spennymoor Leisure Centre is a fantastic place to visit. It’s very easy to access with plenty of parking available, and being right in the town centre makes it really convenient. The bus station is just nearby, so getting here by public transport is simple too. The location is excellent, as it’s surrounded by refreshment areas, cafés, and supermarkets, making it easy to grab a bite or do some shopping before or after your visit. A great leisure hub in a very handy spot!
