A good museum but definitely one that will appeal to a certain demographic more than others. For younger visitors there are two flight simulators. These generally have to be booked and paid for online in advance but I note that they also offer ten minute taster sessions. As I do not recall seeing that option online, perhaps these can be organised on the day? Our teenage son took a flight in the Spitfire simulator and certainly seemed to enjoy himself. Personally, I was expecting a full simulator with motion and feedback simulations but the lack of both didn’t seem to detract from his experience.

Lovely museum with brilliant historical exhibits. Great café too. Nice to sit out and watch the world go by

This is a small two gallery museum celebrating mainly two iconic WW2 aircraft. It is a bit niche and a little bit off the beaten track, but worth a visit, especially if you have an interest in history and engineering. Today I learned the difference between a supercharged engine and a turbocharged one. [How sad am I!] Decent car parking. Free entry.

Great free museum with a variety of exhibits, including 2 full sized planes. However, we booked a simulator flight, which you can only do online, to find out the museum knew nothing about it and had doubled booked a 10 minute look around the simulator which turned into much longer. However we went to the cafe and the simulator was rescheduled for later Food was good but rather expensive £78 for lunch for 3 adults and 2 children! Overall a lovely place to visit but not when you're hungry !

We had a lovely day out with the kids here free admission but donations welcome little gift shop took lots of grate pictures definitely coming back for the flight simulator 😊😊😊
