The website & app are absolutely ridiculous. So user unfriendly that it’s incredible to see in these days of modern tech etc. Never managed to actually book anything. Results in turning up and hoping there’s a space available. Wonder how many potential customers are lost at the website / app stage. No issues with the center otherwise. Hence not 1 star review.
Having visited ‘The Triangle’ Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill for swimming with my daughter… I realised how poor ‘Splashpoint’ Leisure Centre in Worthing is for many reasons… in comparison: the booking App is awful, and not very user friendly- the UX is very utilitarian and dated; The changing rooms are not kept as clean as they should be (at Splashpoint); parking is limited and if you’re lucky to get a space, it’s only free for 2 hours (The Triangle is free unlimited); the leisure pool and kids area in The Triangle is on another level in terms of more stuff to interact with (many water jets, slides, flumes, lazy river, interesting features etc) and have plenty of swimming space; lockers in Splashpoint steal £0.10 every time you use them (stealth tax) - The Triangle take £1’s and return them; cost… 1 adult and 1 child is £8.35 in The Triangle… Splashpoint is an EXTORTIONATE £15.30! Daylight robbery. I appreciate space is potentially limited in Worthing, meaning The Triangle can offer SO much more for their customers… however, I do hope Splashpoint management start to think about value for money and about the overall consumer experience… service is always mixed, sometimes things are running- other times it’s not with zero comms; Many lockers are broken; the place gets dirty quickly and not maintained well. Please address the cost - it’s insanely overpriced for what is offered.
I was there multiple times already and going there this Sunday, honestly it’s amazing, the water is clean, there are big pool areas, the diving boards are Clean and good, there ninja thing thats floating on the pool, is really cool, like it’s short but fun, and also slippery which makes it more fun and a harder challenge for those who likes challenges, the paths are clean and non slippery which I find really good, there are loads of lockers which are easy to fit in ur stuff, there floor next to the lockers are sometimes dirty, but it’s clean most of the time which is nice, it’s warm inside, it smells good Im the pools and there is a watching area upstairs, it’s clean there, u can eat something while watching people swim, just having a look or waiting to swim as well, they have multiple seats and bins. The staff at the reception are really useful/helpful, and nice, there are quit a few toilets located not far away from the pools. They sell swimsuits at the reception and they also sell glasses swimming stuff. I LIVE THIS PLACE🫶🏻 Suggesting: I suggest to come here when u wanna swim or relax in a warm area with a refreshing pool water, or come here with children 10-18 to go on the diving boards which is fun, I do not suggest smaller children then 10 to go on the diving boards, cuz they might get scared, Come here with children 3-14 to go on the floating trampoline thing on the pool, cuz it will be a fun challenge for the smaller ones. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
This review is more on the swimming pool side of things. The smaller pool is great for little kids/children.. But unfortunately you get teenagers come in this section and they seem to think it's fine to throw each other around in the pool, jump and hang off the underneath of the slide, bare in mind a lot of young children or adults wanting to have a leisurely swim and then to get knocked by these kids or even be sworn at infront of your children. Unfortunately as the "lifeguards" are too young, they won't say anything to these youths, worst of all some of these teenagers are friends with one of the lifeguards, so they definitely won't say anything. In the end the manager had to come around because too many people complained. After they had a warning and still carried on, the manager came back and removed them. This was great, but unfortunately when you pay a lot of money to go somewhere you shouldn't have to put up with this. Staff at the front desk could be a bit more friendly and not enough shower cubicles. Other than that it's fine.
Great leisure centre right on the seafront with brilliant views while you swim. The pools are clean and well maintained, and there’s plenty of space even during busier times. The gym is modern with a good range of equipment, and staff are always helpful and welcoming. It’s got a nice community feel but still feels up to date and professional. Whether you’re going for a proper workout or just a casual swim, it’s a solid spot. Definitely one of the better leisure centres in the area.
