A riverside playground in a woodland clearing in Colinton Village, perfect as a stop during Water of Leith walks or Colinton Tunnel mural visits.

Set in a woodland clearing on the riverbank in Colinton Village, Spylaw Park offers a scenic playground experience alongside the Water of Leith. Equipment includes a toddler unit with climbing wall, fireman's pole and slide, rotating bowl, balancing bridge, swings, bird's nest swing, and a pinball game. Wood chip and grass provide natural surfacing. The spacious grassy area features picnic tables and benches, inviting families to linger. A modest car park aids access, with public toilets an 8-minute walk away. The real appeal is the integration with the broader landscape—combine playground time with riverside walks or visit the famous Colinton Tunnel mural nearby. Best for toddlers and younger children.

It's okay place, near colinton railway tunnel so If you are interested in art you can look at the murals in tunnel then have a sit in the park after. Also its near the water of leith as well so you can go by bike or on foot as there are accessible footpaths in location.

Great family friendly park next to Colinton Village. It's a great spot to spent times with kids and pets. It's a very safe park with no roads close by. The Playground bit has nice equipment. I took some photos to give a good idea of what to expect. There is also benches and tables for picnic.
