If you like to walk, you have to visit this place in spring. You can get here from any place in Brighton and Hove - you take a bus and it gets to to the nearest to the ark station. Then you walk across a large valley up to the forest (it might be a big difficult as it's not very inclusive). There is a place to buy a snack and a toilet at the very entrance of the park if you need one.

This is a beautiful spot. Parking is approximately 2.50 for 2 hours and there are multiple bus services nearby. At the top of the 'main' park (i.e. toward Stanmer House) is a former stately home, some gardens, a butterfly house, a village, woodland and many great walks (just to name a few). Looking West from the park, you can see the AMEX stadium-which is a great view. The University of Sussex is on the South side of the A27 and the University of Sussex is to the East. There is a Victorian flint Church nearby the House-but this is not open. Keeps your eyes peeled as there are also 2 donkey wheels situated in the park. All these photos are taken from a pinhole camera.... just how pictures used to be taken!

Absolutely beautiful place. Nice walks through woodlands and open areas. Car parks are a little pricey but it's definitely worth a stop walk about with the children and dog before heading into Brighton
