We had an amazing day seeing all the cute farm animals. We had a couple of tickets for the experiences (baby goats and mini cows) which was wonderful. The staff were lovely, very friendly, knowledgeable and they clearly care for the animals wellbeing. I would recommend stantons farm to anyone at any age

Stanton farm is a lovely farm with walk through enclosures and we really enjoyed petting and feeding the animals. However our day ended in disappointment due to the manager and an alpaca. The black alpaca decided to randomly kick out and kicked my 9 year old in the chest lightly bruising and winding her- I wouldn’t want to change the experience but maybe a warning to not stand beside them as they kick would be a good idea. If she’d been shorter it would have got her in the face. Our 2nd disappointment was we had booked a 30 minute pony ride. We arrived ready 5 mins early as asked and was on the pony riding at 1.46pm, at 1.54pm we stopped at the beginning and I was asked if I’d like to take photos! Which did. One lady then said that’s it now and the other said she could have 1 more go up and down if she liked- but my daughter felt being polite and as we’d already stopped she said that’s ok. As we walked away I realised the time and that it had been only than 15 mins in total with the set up- so checked my booking which said 1.45-2.15pm 30 min ride, so I found the lady and explained. She had obviously only given us the 15 minute session- but rather than accept her mistake she said there was nothing she could do. I said as I’d paid £26 but only as the £16 ride time can I get a refund for the difference or some drinks rather than refund but she refused both. I found this not just disappointing, but very rude and very poor communication, and sadly for them we will not be booking any pony rides with them in future and I’d urge any one else who hooks to be very aware of your timings so that she doesn’t do this again. It was a lovely day up til then, as we had a very nice chat during the session and she was a nice lady, but sadly she couldn’t see her own mistake and lack of communication- hopefully after reading this she’ll work on this for future clients as it did ruin our experience!

I’ve only been to a few farms but this is my favourite! Hands on, you can get up close with the animals and even pay for experiences. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had burgers and chips from the food truck, which were nice and fair priced. The lady told me I could leave my buggy there whilst we went for an experience. We brushed the ponies hair and fed them. We also went in with the new baby goats, stroking and cuddling them.

We had a lovely time on our tour of the farm. It was perfectly paced, giving time to meet the animals, learn about their stories and ask any questions. The passion our guide had for the animals and their wellbeing really came across too. I’d strongly recommend Stanton’s Farm to anybody, we’ll definitely be back.
