Its always a pleasure to go and have a ride on this railway, we went of the last day of the 3 day weekend and the field was pretty empty, not sure if it was because most pack up and go home sunday night. The railway was partially closed due to planned engineering works, but that didnt spoil our day.
A lovely day out, lot's to do ,a ride on the little trains just finished the day OFF nice 😀
Nice place to visit wasnt open yet .was at a metal detecting rally and was camping
Visited on 24/07/25 on a public event, quite a big event with lots of things to do and the railway ride was amazing lasting close to 15 minutes alongside a beautiful lake, train ride costs an additional fee but definitely worth a visit as there was lots of displays and steam tractors during each event
Lovely place to go with the kids, family or just on your own, they open twice a year over May and August Bank Holiday to the public, but do have open days throughout the year, lots to see and do and for only £5 per adult, children are free depending on age.
