⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stoke Park Estate is one of Bristol’s best free attractions and a place I would highly recommend if you enjoy nature, walking or simply escaping the busy city for a few hours. I was pleasantly surprised by just how large the estate is and how much there is to explore. The fact that it’s completely free to visit makes it even better. The walking routes are well laid out, with clear information boards and maps at the entrances, making it easy to choose a route whether you want a short stroll or a much longer walk. Every path seems to lead to something different, from peaceful woodland and open fields to beautiful viewpoints overlooking Bristol. One of the highlights for me was seeing the stunning Dower House (often referred to as the castle) sitting proudly on the hill. It creates a fantastic backdrop and makes the estate feel full of history and character. The views towards the house and across the surrounding countryside are absolutely beautiful, especially on a sunny day, and there are plenty of great photo opportunities. I also loved spending time around the lake, which is such a peaceful spot to stop for a while. There were ducks happily swimming around, and it’s a lovely place to sit quietly, enjoy the scenery and take in the sounds of nature. If you bring suitable duck food, it’s a great place to feed the ducks and spend some time watching the wildlife. The estate is full of mature trees, open green spaces, birds and wildlife, making it easy to forget you’re still in Bristol. It has a wonderfully calm atmosphere, and I found it to be the perfect place to clear my mind, slow down and recharge. Whether you’re walking, running, taking photographs, enjoying a picnic or simply sitting on a bench listening to nature, it really is a place where you can relax and unwind. It’s suitable for people of all ages, including families, dog walkers, runners, cyclists and anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. The estate is so large that even when there are other visitors around, it never feels overcrowded. The only disappointing thing I noticed was that some of the entrance signs and information boards have been vandalised with graffiti. It’s a shame because the park is such a beautiful and historic place, and it deserves to be looked after with more respect. Overall, Stoke Park Estate is a real hidden gem. It’s free, peaceful, full of history, offers stunning views, beautiful walks, a lovely lake with ducks, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with nature. If you’re visiting Bristol or live nearby and haven’t been yet, I’d definitely recommend adding it to your list. I’ll certainly be coming back again.

I come here all the time because it's so near and it's simply convenient and amazing. Woods with sculpture trail and fields of sculptures too! They made a new path through it and I never used to see people in wheelchairs and such like, and now I often do! The view over Bristol is nice from the top of the hill. Very nice wood! Really nice! Great variety of things to look at with massive grounds to cover, great for a good walk, jog or cycling! you won't be disappointed. A little difficult to park as there’s not a designated car park and although the trail was a bit hilly in places it was a very pleasant walk with great views over Bristol
