Above al,l an 800 year history of faithfulness to the Catholic religion. Also, another example of an historic house "going public" in a modern attempt to stay open. At one point all the furniture and furnishings in the house, had been sold but the next generation managed to claw back the situation from the precipice.

Beautiful hidden gem - volunteer guides were incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Well worth the short hike up the hill opposite for the fantastic views.

Beautiful parkland surrounding a Manor House and gardens, with abundant deer, pheasants and wild birds. Stonor Park Visitor Centre is next to the car park and includes a cafe and toilets. A large children's play area called Tumblestone Hollow is close to the visitor centre. If you like birds and wildlife you'll love Stonor. Just sitting outside the cafe we saw at least six low flying Red Kites. The 850 year old Manor House is also well worth a visit.

It is a lovely house that gives you a great garden to look around and a decent walk around the grounds. The houses are only open at certain times and only 1 day a week which makes it quite inconvenient to visit. We didn't manage to look around the house but did visit the garden and the lands, it's beautiful but it would be nice to have more accessibility on the weekends.

What an amazing place. Well worth the money and travel time. The grounds are spectacular as are the views. The garden is wonderful and can imagine in summer would be enchanting. The vibe is intoxicating, you'll want to stay all day. The adventure playground is the best we've been to, the kids couldn't get enough. Will go again in summer and spend the whole day on the grounds.
