I've visited this lovely nature spot since my childhood, and it has become more and more wonderful over the years; in recent years you can especially tell the place has really been managed and developed well - but most notable and rewarding is the amount of birds, insects and bats that you can see living/visiting here.

Lovely park with lots of trails for walking and cycling, visitor centre has excellent facilities and toilets. Mix of tarmac, off road and boarded walkways. Frequent areas to sit and picnic. Good parking with ringo app or pay and display. Highlight is the abundance of wildlife with birds of all varieties and squirrels which come up close to you. Swans have signets with them on the lake at the moment which is lovely to see. Plenty of signage with information about the plants and trees and animals and a poetry trail. Another highlight of the park is the recently appointed Lucky cup coffee cake and sandwich trailer. The sandwiches are exceptional if you've ever heard of sandwich sandwich theyre that style. I had the pastrami mustard cheese melt ciabatta and my wife had the serano ham and mozzarella melt ciabatta, both were delicious with plenty of filling and piping hot. I had a mocha which was excellent and the wife a can of pop. Service was top notch even though they were extremely busy and service with a big smile. We cant wait to visit again soon.

Gorgeous place for a walk; saw so much wildlife! Parking charges are reasonable, and there are clean toilets and a coffee shack. The paths are well kept. Definitely worth a visit 🌳🐝🌺

Beautiful country park with relaxing lakeside walks with or without your dogs just minutes away from the busy A38 and close to the moorland town of Bovey Tracey. There is abundant wildlife within the park, particularly waterfowl. Worthwhile visiting throughout the year to enjoy the changing seasons and the differing light conditions make it an interesting destination for photography.

Great place for a walk around the lake. If you look closely you can spot all types of birds. It's a great place to bring the kids to engage in nature.
