A great small museum that is free. It has a fair amount of item to do with Winston Churchill, but there is also a wonderful brown paper sculpture of a trench innthe first world war. Extremely well done and unique to my knowledge. Many items are both first and second world wars so take the time to read about the exhibits. Lastly for those lucky people like myself who drive an electric car, there is a 7kw charge which is free to use

This is a great little museum. The Churchill exhibition is interesting with lots from different points in his life. There is a display of a First World War trench made entirely of brown paper and that is brilliant. Well worth taking the time to visit.

Lovely relaxing location. Friendly welcome by staff. Grounds of the museum are tranquil with a couple of picnic benches outside near the entrance. The museum itself is compact but interesting. It's wheelchair friendly too. Artifacts are displayed over about 4 separate interlocking rooms. Would be nice if it had been twice the size but nice nevertheless. Entrance is free to the public no booking necessary. A donation can be given if you want but not expected. Museum takes about 30-40 minutes to look at. There is a small refreshments area in the main reception at a cost, including coffee machine fridge with cold drinks and snacks. Seating is available inside and outside the venue. It's very small and informal so anyone with a fear of large crowds don't need to worry it's relaxing. Worth a visit but don't expect to spend half a day here, maybe hour and a half if you stay for refreshments too. We took our own picnic and ate it outside at one of the picnic tables. If you have an interest in times gone by with war and Winston Churchill era this is a nice collection.

Well worth a visit. Easy parking. Free entry. Great to see Churchill's paintings and lots of items belonging to him. The paper sculpture was outstanding and very poignant. A really well done small museum.
