Enjoy a historic medium-sized green space with children's playground, tennis courts, and community gardens perfect for families.

Streatham Vale Park is an important community green space situated in an urban area of South London. Built on the site of a former brickworks, the park has a rich history dating back to 1930 when a children's playground first opened, with the rest of the park completed in 1931. Today, it serves as a vital recreational hub for local families and residents. The park features a range of facilities suitable for families with children of all ages. A dedicated children's playground provides play opportunities for younger visitors, while tennis courts and games courts cater to more active recreation. A community garden area, added in 2009 along with improved wildlife-friendly boundary features, offers additional green space and educational opportunities. Streatham Vale Park is free to access and open from 7:30am until 15 minutes before sunset daily. The venue is dog-friendly, making it ideal for families with pets. Sports and play facilities are managed by Streatham Youth and Community Trust (SYCT), ensuring well-maintained amenities. The park's combination of historical significance, diverse facilities, and accessible location makes it an excellent destination for family outings and community activities.

Not managed well by council, tons of litter left in football pitches and the people in charge (hire a pitch) are very rude and dismissive to neighbours complaints. Wouldn’t feel comfortable allowing my children to go there unattended due to the sheer among of vulgarity and aggressive behaviour, the park easily earns 2-3k a week and refuses invest money into safeguarding the pitches

It's ok but lots of litter. OK play area for wee people and an all weather surface for spots that really dominated the park.

Horrible and badly maintained playground from the 70’s . When something breaks they just remove it but never replace it . Welcome to Lambeth. Baby swings are super low with barely any momentum… seats are lacerated and broken . Swings have not been oiled for the last 300 years … TOTAL DISGRACE !

The sensory garden looks rather neglected. There is some work going on in the park, so maybe it will improve.
