What a fantastic place. Ski instructor Chris was superb, within 1 hour he had everyone in the group skiing. All staff very friendly and helpful ,especially Daisy on reception.The tubing and toboggan are great fun. Highly recommend 👍

A good to enjoy different kinds of ski in summer. I tried Tubing and Toboggan. Since it was a hot day when I visited, I prefer Toboggan to Tubing. Main reason is: playing toboggan, I sit on a kart, and a cable on the track will drag me uphill and then slide down; with Tubing, after every slide, I have to drag my tube upslope, which is enjoyable when it is 30+°C😅 A credit should be given to the cafe there, they prepare serve-yourselves sqash in it to encourage intake of water, seem they want to help the kids aware off heatstroke👍🏽

Found this dry slope by accident, been spending a small fortune at a real snow indoor slope for years! Great price for lessons and open practice and you get loads of time on the slope too. Staff were lovely. Booked my 10 yr old for a group lesson and she ended up having a private lesson for the same price ! Teacher was amazing with her. I love skiing but I was starting to feel priced out of it, this place has allowed us all to keep it up! Food was nice too! Thank you

Really great for my 4 and 6 year old daughters. I’ll compare to Tamworth snow dome as it’s a useful comparison. A few weeks prior they did the kinder intro group lesson at the snow dome (their first ever ski experience). Staff and facilities were really good there but the kids only really had 3 short runs down less than half the toddler slope in the group lesson and left cold, wet, sulky and unenthusiastic about skiing. Swadlincote offers private lessons for less than the price of group lessons at Tamworth so I went for this. The private lessons of course meant that they got loads of turns going up and down the slope. My 6 year old finished the lesson able to independently ride a drag lift and confidently zoom from the top of the (large) nursery slope, whilst my 4 year old could ski half of the slope independently. They both loved it and also enjoyed the toboggan run that we rode on afterwards. For me, the dry ski slope offered 2 advantages over real snow. Firstly it’s not cold (which was the source of some crying at Tamworth); secondly it’s a bit slower than snow which really helped my kids as they could keep their balance better than they did on snow which really built their confidence. I’ll be taking them again as it strikes me as a better surface for young children to learn on. Finally, a shout out to our instructor Louie. He was great with my daughters (who are normally rather unreceptive to male teachers). He dealt with their mini-sulks really well and pushed them enthusiastically throughout the lesson leaving me utterly shocked by the progress my daughters made and their excitement for it (they really didn’t want the lesson to end and asked to come back tomorrow).

Took 10year old daughter and she loved the toboggan. The gent running it on the day was amazing and reassured her throughout despite her being nervous. Great service and will be returning!
