Very interesting self guided tour. Interactive checkpoints throughout the mines telling you the history and process from a miners perspective. Lots to see and characters placed throughout the tour to illustrate the work that went on here. There are 190 steps to navigate and even in hot weather, there is still a breeze. I'd recommend good grip on your shoes and take a jacket in case as there are puddles throughout and water dripping from the rocks above your head. My partner is 6'2" and had to duck 90% of the time. I am 5'2" and had to duck down about 30% of the time. We expected it and didn't mind as it's all part of the experience! Great gift shop and museum to visit! Would definitely come again for the surrounding walking trails too

Visited here whilst staying in Beddgelert Village as its about 5 mins down the road. This was a really interesting visit to see inside the ways and workings of an old copper mine and get a sense of history as what life was like here. The visit was a self guided tour £12 per person which took us about 40 minutes listening to all the audio presentations inside the mine. We were literally the only people inside the mine which was great. There are about 180 steps you have to climb to the different sections of the mine which as steep but if of general good health shouldn't be a problem. The parking is free for visitors to the mine, there is a cafe area, toilet facilities and a small museum display. This is a little hidden gem and worth the visit.

Wow, this place is so cool! Learnt such a lot about just how hard the miners had to work, and the conditions they were in. Very humbling when you see it, it got me a bit emotional! There is a free car park, spotless toilets and a cafe/shop where you buy tickets and a small museum of different artifacts which was also really interesting. There are a lot of stairs going through the mine, definitely not easy for those with mobility issues, and the ceilings are low, the hard hats are very needed! My 6'3 husband hit his head 23 times!! It is also wet inside so sturdy shoes a must. We really enjoyed it, and the views as you come out of the mine are just breathtaking. Defo worth a visit imo

Great experience, you can walk trough the cave fast (20 minutes), or take your time (40 minutes). It’s self guided, which makes it so much more fun! In addition, plenty of parking space.

Interesting visit to this dog friendly mine. Trip will not suit all dogs with 186 steep metal steps to climb. Interesting little museum too. The mind gives an insight into the hard work required to obtain copper by hand and the importance of the mines to the local economy during their day.
