Visit websiteWhat a great experience, loved the noise + smells All staff most polite + knowledgeable. Fantastic bit of history well done!
Great day out and trip. Loads of info and stops. Guides very good too.
This is an excellent narrow gauge steam railway, manned by enthusiastic, knowledgeable volunteers. There are walks of various lengths and difficulties at each of the stations and two nice cafes serving lunches at either end of the line. The Slate Trail is well worth the extra money, taking all day and gives you an insight to the work going on behind the scenes as well as the history of the railway.
Elemental trip down memory lane. Everyone relaxed, friendly, and knowledgeable. Explorer ticket for maximum flexibility.
Part of the Talyllyn railway. Short walk from Tywyn high street. No parking or toilets here. Not all trains stop but there is a waiting shelter. Come to the Talyllyn railway soon. UKs 1st to be restored by volunteers. A beautiful, narrow gauge ,friendly place forever in my happiest memories.
